What is the Bailey Collection?

The Bailey Collection originally came to SOU in 1972 from the collection of Dr. Margery Bailey, a professor of English at Stanford. The collection includes books that are related to Shakespeare or the English Renaissance era and continues to grow. It is housed on the second floor of the library in the southeastern corner. SOU also has a few rare, fragile, or valuable items that are kept in Special Collections and are considered part of the Bailey Collection.
